We came across a pretty good (and thankfully brief!) video on packing techniques. If you’re packing boxes, it’s worth the 2-1/2 minutes of your time it will take to view it. There are some good tips on packing breakables, lamps, books, CDs and more. Before you take a look, here are a couple of things to note…

Note: Insurance and saving with Wrap-it Shipping

One, the video notes that many moving companies won’t insure items you pack yourself. TSI does offer coverage that does include items you pack yourself.  As with any insurance coverage, there are guidelines and restrictions, of course, so be sure to discuss it with your TSI shipping specialist when you call.

Two, you’ll see some tips on packing furniture and other large items. We prepare furniture and other large items for you as part of our standard service. You can save money by doing that yourself if you opt for our Wrap-it Shipping service, though, so it’s something to consider. It’s not available for all moves or shipments, so ask your shipping specialist if it’s an option.
